“GIPS-Let” newsletter is an in-house publication from Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Guwahati. The purpose of the newsletter is to showcase various facilities, professional activities and services that are available preferably in the department of Pharmaceutical Science. It is released once in six months of a year from the department of Pharmaceutical Science The newsletter is circulated to other Pharmacy colleges, regulatory bodies and Various schools in Guwahati and North-eastern region for spreading important information of the College and its activities on a periodic basis.

Students need an outlet for their creativity, ideas, and developing critical thinking skill. So, “GIPS-Let” team has tried to shape an offline newspaper into a responsive, dynamic content including images containing digital newsletter which anyone can build, publish and read on the web. This will be interactive and engage more number of users. “GIPS-Let” can be instrumental in shaping opinion, perspective, and debate, which are invaluable when entering the workplace and contributing to society. With a newspaper, students and stuffs have a voice and can learn invaluable skills that will aid them in their future. It recognizes the achievements of the students and faculty. In addition, it also provides information on the activities of student societies, institutional social responsibility and prominent visitors to the College during the academic year.

  • To develop quality systems for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the College.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internationalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practice.


  • A newsletter can provide updates and information on the way about the Institution is moving to achieve its goal. It also informs parents of special college activities such as field trips, meetings, mission, vision, events, performance and community happenings. 
  • GIPS-Let” that highlights a student in one way or another tells the parents that their child is more than just a number.
  • Short, clear and concise content snatch the attention of their reader and will also help to retain them. 
  • Readers can access “GIPS-Let” anytime and anywhere from any device. 
  • With a newsletter, college can reach a very broad audience instantly with very little cost.
  • Students and stuffs will learn valuable skills (writing, editing, designing, photography). The whole team who works at the newsletter learn a lot of workplace skills including management, meeting deadlines, and communicating well with others.

GIPS-Let” is a cost-effective advertising tool for building regular communication with patrons and prospects. To be successful, anewsletter must offer readers content that is useful and easy to digest. The Institution can selective in the items they open and may skim a newsletter for useful information rather than read it in depth.
